How to use Paperstars
Paperstars serves as a database for you to search for specific papers that you already know of and a place for you to rate them. It is NOT a search engine like Pubmed to find new papers on a certain subject.
Do you like the idea of being able to see at a glance the quality of the paper you are reading? That's where the Paperstars rating score comes in!
Paperstars is a place for you to search for notable papers (both good and bad!), where you can then rate and comment on. You may have noticed that Paperstars works best when you know the title of the paper you are searching for - this is by design. It is NOT a search engine like Pubmed to find new papers on a certain subject. At least not yet...
Currently, Paperstars serves as a database for you to search for specific papers that you already know of and a place for you to rate them. Our anonymous platform allows you to be open and candid, knowing that your identity and your career are protected. Seeing what others have thought of the papers you are interested in also helps you to develop your critical skills, honing how to dissect a paper and know how to identify strengths and weaknesses in the experimental design, analysis and presentation of data.
Essentially, if you have discussed a paper at journal club or you have a list of papers that are crucial references for your research, find them on Paperstars to see what others think, start or join the discussion, and most importantly - leave a rating!
So, what are you waiting for?...
